Jadon Sancho to Man Utd transfer could be brokered by brother of ex-Arsenal star

So far manchester United have drafted in a team of intermediaries in their bid to get Jadon Sancho for the club.

Negotiations have stalled with Borussia Dortmund as the German club play hardball since Ed Woodward is feeling reluctant to pay anything more than £80 million for Sancho.

As they did with Bruno Fernandes in January, the Red Devils have drafted in a team of intermediaries in order to try and broker a deal, according to Sport Bild (via Sport Witness ).

And one of the men involved in the talks is Marco Lichtsteiner, brother of former Arsenal star Stephan Lichtsteiner, who helped broker deals for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ousmane Dembele to leave Dortmund.

Aubameyang headed to Arsenal for a significant fee back in 2018 whilst the German club netted a huge fee as Dembele went to Barcelona the previous year.

United will hope he can now get a similar deal for Sancho over the line with personal terms close to being agreed already with the England winger.

There are also some  claims that Lichtsteiner is also a close associate of Emeka Obasi, who has been involved in managing Sancho’s career.

Sancho is set to treble his £75k-a-week wages by landing between £200k and £220k per week at Manchester United.

He is also set to be handed the vacant No.7 shirt last worn by Alexis Sanchez and pen a four-year deal with an option for an extra year.

But all that depends on whether United agree to pay Dortmund the fee they want to part with Sancho.

Their star man is already back in pre-season training ahead of the new season and Dortmund want a package worth at least £100million to let him go.

United insist they will not have their hand forced by efforts to install an August 10 deadline for a deal to be done.

And with intermediaries involved it is hoped a deal will eventually be struck.
